Graphics and Maintenance of Caprice Ballet The LC.UA team participated in the maintenance of Caprice Ballet, which premiered on January 26, 2012 at the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater of Ukraine named after T. Shevchenko.
Ballet on colorful music by Niccolo Paganini in the orchestration of the famous Ukrainian composer, conductor, artistic director of the National Opera Miroslav Skoryk was staged by choreographer Viktor Litvinov. He, together with Miroslav Skoryk and the chief director of the Kiev Drama Theater in Podil, Vitaly Malakhov, wrote the original libretto.
Especially for this ballet production, under the direction of the main artist-director of the theater Maria Sergiyevna Levitskaya, 3D video effects were created, which were broadcast synchronously with the musical series on several transparent screens. The impression was that the thoughts and feelings of the main characters are material and circling with the dancers.
The video installation was made specifically for transparent screens, and the software complex allowed to expand the shadowless zone, providing direct and backward projections using only two video projectors. Opaque screens were used to split video images on transparent screens and to increase the stage space visually.
The LC.UA team has carried out the entire creative and production cycle, starting with the creative idea of creating 3D video graphics and ending with the setup and installation of the necessary equipment.
Getting into the imagination, the viewer plunges into a completely new stage space created by the theater’s principal artist Maria Sergiy Levitsk and specialists of LC.UA.
